Brett Favre always finds a way to stay in the spotlight, and that's true again this week, as he's been the No. 1 topic of conversation around the NFL leading into the Vikings' game this week against the Giants -- even though the Vikings are out of the playoff picture, while the Giants are tied for first place in the NFC East.This week the question is whether Favre's shoulder injury will allow him to make consecutive start No. 298, or whether his NFL-record streak will finally come to an end, and Tarvaris Jackson will start in Favre's place.

Because of all the talk surrounding Favre, hardly anyone is mentioning that the Giants are a likely playoff team playing some of their best football right now, and coming off a beatdown of the Redskins.

Players to Watch: Yes, we'll all watch to see whether Favre or Jackson is the starter on Sunday, and we might not know until late Sunday morning, when Favre has had a chance to warm up and test his shoulder on the field. The Viking we should be watching, however, is Adrian Peterson, who stepped up with a very big game on Sunday (16 carries, 107 yards, three touchdowns) despite struggling with an ankle injury. Peterson is one of the few Vikings players who hasn't been a disappointment this year.
