Two Razorbacks accept Senior Bowl invites

As Arkansas makes its final preparations for the Sugar Bowl Tuesday night against Ohio State, two Razorbacks accepted an invitation on Monday to play in the Senior Bowl. TE D.J. Williams and OLT DeMarcus Love will play in the annual event held in Mobile, Ala., on January 29.

"(D.J. and DeMarcus) have both played key roles in the Razorbacks' success this year, especially from an offensive standpoint, and we're thrilled they've chosen to compete against the top seniors in the nation here at the Senior Bowl," said Senior Bowl CEO Steve Hale.

Williams, a three-year starter at Arkansas, was the recipient of the John Mackey Award this year, which is presented annually to the nation's top tight end. A first-team All-SEC performer, Williams had 49 catches for 589 yards and four touchdowns this season. Williams' 147 career catches rank second in Arkansas school history.

Love has started 36 games in his career, including all 12 this year. Love was named first-team All-SEC as well this year. In addition to protecting star QB Ryan Mallett's blind side this year, Love also paved the way for RB Knile Davis' 1000-yard campaign.
