Jim Zorn Hired as Chiefs' QBs Coach

Former Washington Redskins coach Jim Zorn on Tuesday was named quarterbacks coach for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The addition of Zorn, who was in Baltimore last season as the Ravens' quarterbacks coach, finalized Chiefs head coach Todd Haley's staff for the upcoming season.

"We are excited to finalize our coaching staff today with the addition of Jim Zorn," said Haley. "As a former head coach with more than two decades of experience playing and coaching the quarterback position in the NFL, Jim has a tremendous working knowledge of the game, and he will play a big role in the continued development of our football team."

Zorn was head coach of the Redskins in 2008-09. He also served as the quarterbacks coach in Seattle for seven seasons after spending three years with Detroit in a similar position.

Zorn, 57, now becomes the Chiefs' first full-time quarterbacks coach since Haley was hired as head coach in 2009.
