GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Blackhawks are looking to rebound from their most disappointing defeat of the season as they battle the Coyotes on Sunday night at Jobing.com Arena.
The game features two teams in the thick of the melee in the Western Conference for postseason berths. The Coyotes entered with a five-game winning streak and the Hawks came in with losses in four of their last five games.
After two periods, the game is tied 1-1. Duncan Keith has scored for the Hawks and Eric Belanger for Phoenix. Late in the first, Patrick Sharp appeared to injure his left knee in a collision with the Coyotes' Rostislav Klesla. Sharp, the Hawks' leading goal scorer with 34, left the ice gingerly and headed directly into the dressing room.
Corey Crawford is in goal for the Hawks and is opposed by Ilya Bryzgalov in the fourth and final meeting between the teams this season.
It's the second game of a two-game road trip for the Hawks, who began it with a dreadful effort in a 5-0 loss to the Stars on Thursday night in Dallas.
