Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, Bears MLB Brian Urlacher and 49ers RS Ted Ginn Jr. garnered NFC awards for their play in Week One, the NFL announced Wednesday.
Rodgers was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week after throwing for 312 yards and three TDs in Green Bay's 42-34 win vs. New Orleans on Thursday. It is the third time he's received Offensive Player of the Week Honors.
Urlacher, honored for the sixth time as NFC Defensive Player of the Week, notched 10 tackles, made a diving interception and returned a fumble 12 yards for a TD in Chicago's 30-12 win vs. Atlanta on Sunday.
Ginn Jr., meanwhile, broke open a close game vs. Seattle with a 102-yard kickoff return and a 55-yard punt return for touchdowns within a span of 59 seconds in San Francisco's 36-17 win. He's the 12th player to return a kickoff and punt for a score in the same game. Ginn Jr. previously won the award with Miami in 2009.
