Respondents to a ProFootballWeekly.com web poll asking, "Who has been the most unstoppable player the first quarter of the season?" believe that QB Aaron Rodgers of the unbeaten Packers is the one.
Rodgers, who seemingly has elevated his game to another level this season after a brilliant postseason performance last season, garnered 40.8 percent of the vote to far outdistance the second-place vote-getter, Lions WR Calvin Johnson. The Detroit star, with eight TD catches in the first four games, collected 23.3 percent of the vote.
They were followed by Patriots WR Wes Welker (13.1 percent), Patriots QB Tom Brady (10.6), Panthers rookie QB Cam Newton (4.9), Raiders RB Darren McFadden (3.8), Saints QB Drew Brees (2.4) and Panthers WR Steve Smith (0.9).
