Cardinals latest team to reduce pay for employees

Cardinals coaches and front-office members will see a salary reduction of 35 percent on April 11, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The report says that the team has the right to refund the money if no games are missed. However, if so much as one game is missed, the Cardinals are under no obligation to refund any of the money.

Arizona is not the first team to issue pay cuts to employees, as the Jets, Bills and Chiefs also have reduced salaries and/or forced employees to take unpaid furloughs. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's annual salary was reduced to $1 after the owners chose to lock out the players.

Owners and players have no future negotiations planned and are set to meet in U.S. District Court on April 6 for the federal antitrust lawsuit filed by several players against the NFL.
