Most draft prospects only get one shot at their pro day, an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of NFL scouts and executives. However, due to a scheduling conflict with an NFL owners meeting, University of Iowa players will now get two cracks at it. According to reports, Iowa has added a second pro day, set for April 4.
The Hawkeyes' original pro day was scheduled for March 21, a day that conflicts with NFL owners meetings in New Orleans, which NFL coaches and executives plan on attending.
Iowa has several players who could be early picks come draft-time. DL Adrian Clayborn currently ranks as the sixth-best defensive end in the draft, according to PFW draft analyst Nolan Nawrocki. Fellow DL Christian Ballard and QB Ricky Stanzi also rank in the top 60 prospects.
