Jets practice notes: Defense dominates

CORTLAND, N.Y. –- The New York Jets completed their seventh day of practice of 2012 training camp. The AFC East blog is at Jets camp this week to check out the action. Here are some observations: The Jets' defense looked really good on Friday. New York, which finished fifth in the NFL on defense last year, was flying around the football and made it tough on Jets quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow. Sanchez finished 5 for 12 with a touchdown and Tebow was 3 for 6 on mostly short completions in 11 on 11 drills.
