Broncos re-sign DT Vickerson

On the same day they released a pair of defensive linemen, the Broncos re-signed DT Kevin Vickerson, who signed a two-year contract to remain in Denver. The terms of the deal have not yet been released.

The 6-5, 321-pounder started 12 games for the Broncos last season and recorded 42 tackles, two sacks and one interception.

They way we see it

The decision to keep Vickerson, rather than DTs Jamal Williams and Justin Bannan, likely had a lot to do with age. The organization is trying to get younger on defense and Vickerson, 28, is the youngest of the three.
