Hall of Fame DE Robustelli dies at age 85

Pro Football Hall of Fame DE Andy Robustelli, who played for the Rams and Giants from 1951-64, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 85. The news was first reported by the Stamford (Conn.) Advocate.

Robustelli was a seven-time All-Pro and was named the NFL's player of the year in 1962 by the Maxwell Club. He started his career in Los Angeles with the Rams, playing five seasons for the team and helping them to the NFL championship in 1951. He then went to New York, helping them win a championship in '56.

When he retired in 1964 he had 22 fumble recoveries, which was a record at the time.
