Both the NFL and the Cowboys have asked for the class-action lawsuit filed against them by Super Bowl ticket holders who were denied seats to be dismissed.
The NFL filed a motion on Thursday stating that its offers of compensations were beyond contractual obligations and that no one was defrauded because employees worked through the day of the game to deal with the issue.
There were a total of 1,250 temporary seats not completed in time for Super Bowl XLV, which took place on Feb. 6 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Of those displaced fans, 400 ticket holders were told they had to watch the game on TV. Also, some Cowboys season-ticket holders were forced to watch the game in folding chairs with obstructed views.
