Morning take: AFC East injury updates

Here are the most interesting stories Thursday in the AFC East: Morning take: Chung’s availability against Buffalo isn’t known. But you have to assume he could miss Sunday’s game. New England’s depth certainly is being tested these first two weeks.
  • Brian Costello of the New York Post reports Jets center Nick Mangold (ankle) said he's preparing to play Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.
Morning take: Mangold is tough. But I would be shocked if he doesn't missthis game following a high-ankle sprain. It'smost likelyin the best interest of Mangold and the team that he sits this week.
  • Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post writes Miami Dolphins tailback Reggie Bush is recovering from a groin injury.
Morning take: I noticed Bush went into the locker room early last week to get looked at. Expect him to get more than six carries this week against the Cleveland Browns.
  • Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News reports Bills receiver Steve Johnson, who also has a groin injury, missed practiced Wednesday but still expects to play.
Morning take: The Bills need Johnson, their best receiver, for a chance to pull the upset against New England. If I were the Bills, I would rest Johnson all week to get him close to 100 percent.
