Both teams have made significant roster moves in an effort to best position themselves for a run at the postseason, with Miami's switch at quarterback from Chad Henne to Chad Pennington trumping the Titans' acquisition of controversial wide receiver Randy Moss before their bye week.Miami sits at 4-4, two games back of the New York Jets and New England Patriots in the AFC East and this is the first of two home games in a span of five days as the Chicago Bears come to town Thursday night. Dolphins coach Tony Sparano thought long and hard over the decision to make the move to the 11th-year veteran Pennington under center but he felt that was the spark his offense needed. Pennington was the runner-up for NFL MVP in 2008.
Meanwhile, the Titans are tied with the Indianapolis Colts for first place in the AFC South at 5-3 and with young wide receiver Kenny Britt out with a hamstring injury the arrival Moss comes at the perfect time. Of course Tennessee was the only one of 31 teams to put in a claim for Moss after the Minnesota Vikings placed him on waivers just four weeks after acquiring him in a trade from New England.
