Packers looking superstrong at running back

Widely perceived as a relative embarrassment in Green Bay’s power-packed offense because of its tendency to come up short in key situations, the consensus now seems to be that the Packers’ RB corps suddenly has an embarrassment of riches. That feeling could change if free agents Brandon Jackson and John Kuhn, a RB-FB hybrid, split the scene. But the way we hear it, at least one of them is a very good bet to remain a Packer. Team insiders suspect Kuhn, a huge fan favorite, is a bit more likely to stay put than Jackson, who in a perfect world would go to a team where he would receive more playing time than he figures to get in Green Bay with Ryan Grant expected to be fully recovered from the ankle injury that ended his 2010 season in Week One. In any event, many league observers believe Grant and James Starks, who came on so strong down the stretch last season, could give the Packers the most potent 1-2 RB punch in the league.
