The Rams have re-signed WR Mark Clayton, adding more depth at that position. Aaron Wilson of Scout.com first broke the news.
Clayton, a former Ravens first-round pick, started five games for the Rams last season before tearing the patella tendon in his right knee. He caught 23 passes for 306 yards and two TDs while healthy.
The receiver confirmed the news on his Twitter account, writing, "It's official!! Another year in the Lou!"
The way we see it
Clayton, who played collegiately at Oklahoma, teamed well with fellow former-Sooner Sam Bradford in limited action last season. A smart, disciplined route runner, Clayton quickly became Bradford's favorite target after being obtained in a trade with the Ravens, and should make an impact in the St. Louis passing game assuming he's 100 percent healthy.
