No. 17 Dwayne Harris, WR/KR East Carolina
Pirates quarterback Dominique Davis was able to have such a great debut season in part because of Harris, who set the single-season school records for receptions (101) and receiving yards (1,123) while adding a career-high 10 touchdown catches to finish second all-time on the school's career list for touchdown receptions. He was selected the Most Valuable Player of Conference USA, the first non-quarterback to win the award. He also made the first team as a receiver and return specialist. Harris ranked No. 4 nationally in all-purpose yards with an average of 176 per game. There is no doubting he was Mr. Clutch and could be counted on anywhere on the field, from runner to receiver to returner. East Carolina might have ended with a disappointing season, but nobody can say Harris disappointed in his final season with the Pirates.
