Former Falcons S Erik Coleman has agreed to a one-year deal with the Lions, according to multiple reports.
Coleman started one game in 2010 after starting all 16 each of the two previous seasons in Atlanta. The seventh-year veteran was released last week.
The way we see it
Coleman, who turns 29 in May, got demoted early in 2010 for second-year player William Moore, making it clear the Falcons were ready to part ways with Coleman. He should add depth to the Lions' safety position that is led by Louis Delmas.
