Browns' Taylor showing pass-rush ability

One of the Browns' better pass rushers has been rookie DT Phil Taylor, who leads the club with four sacks, a total higher than he notched in any of his collegiate seasons. Taylor, like DE Jabaal Sheard, has started every game as a rookie for a Cleveland D-line that isn't especially deep and has needed all of the snaps he can give. Both rookies have shown promise, with Taylor especially standing out. Defensive coordinator Dick Jauron said Taylor played his best game of the season in Week 10 vs. St. Louis, when he notched five tackles and a QB sack, as well as making another thunderous hit on Rams QB Sam Bradford. Jauron told reporters that Taylor remains a work in progress but will continue to improve. "You need to get him to the part where he's just coming off the ball hard every snap, not feeling it, not waiting to see what happens," Jauron said. "He will have a sense of what's going to happen around him and just exploding on every snap. He'll get there."
