LOCK OF THE WEEK

Which of your picks do you feel strongest about and why?

Hub Arkush: It's safe to assume the 49ers still want that signature win to stake their claim near the top, and a look at their schedule says this is the time to get it.

Keith Schleiden: The Ravens and Seahawks are in completely different classes, and I'm surprised the line isn't a bit higher. Baltimore heads west and covers easily.

Mike Holbrook: I know it's crazy to pick the Patriots to lose a third game in a row, but the Jets are hot and in revenge mode. I think Rex Ryan has his team ready to take control of the AFC East.

Dan Arkush: The Panthers have played just about everybody tough so far this season and are well-rested. Tennessee has come down to earth, losing three of its last four.

Eric Edholm: The Bills took one on the chin, but they have too good of a thing going to let this slip away from them. The Cowboys have a maddening habit of losing games in these spots.

Mike Wilkening: I'll take the points with Tennessee. Chris Johnson ran as well as he has all season last week, and the Titans have the better defense. At the least, Titans keep this close.

Dan Parr: The Bengals had a very impressive first half of the season, but they're not in the same class as the Steelers. Pittsburgh will get back on track after a tough loss.

Kevin Fishbain: At the beginning of the year, the Patriots looked like a team on a mission. The last few weeks, it's been the Jets who look like the class of the division and should win at home.

Eli Kaberon: Rex Ryan always has something special in his back pocket for the Patriots, and with the way the Jets are running the ball, this is a good matchup for New York.
