A real barn burner could be in the offing after the Packers and Vikings combined for 31 points in the first half of their first meeting of the season. For the Packers to rebound from their 17-14 deficit in the second half, the defense must do a better job of stopping the Vikings’ electrifying Percy Harvin, and Packers QB Aaron Rodgers must stop alternating between great throws in tight spaces and ill-advised passes like the two throws that were intercepted by the Vikings in the first 30 minutes.
Two other thoughts: (1) Packers WR James Jones is off to a terrific start after looking awful one week earlier in Green Bay’s loss to Miami. (2) Green Bay would be winning at the half had rookie Andrew Quarless not stumbled on Matt Flynn’s fourth-down heave, on which he was wide open.
