Jets linebacker Bart Scott's interview with ESPN's Sal Paolantonio moments after the Jets shocked the New England Patriots in Gillette Stadium became an internet sensation. One of Scott's better comments during the rant was the Patriots' defense "can't stop a nosebleed."
The Jets' defense could have used a tourniquet in the first half against the Steelers in the AFC Championship Game.
"Sometimes the gunfighters get shot," Clark said with a laugh.
That's right. And back in those days bullet wounds caused a different, deadly kind of Gang Green.
"When you play the game in the media like the Jets do, it starts to matter what is said about you," Clark said. "They have to read the clips, because they say so much. When you hear those things and people are doubting you, you care what is said about you."
