Page 2 contributor and Uni Watch Blog proprietor Paul Lukas took note of ESPN.com's helmet Power Rankings and came up with his list of the 10 best throwbacks. Lukas looked at notable helmet designs no longer being used as a team's current, primary look. He did include designs currently being used as throwbacks.
The list is a fun review of some designs and alterations I'd forgotten about.
The Buffalo Bills' white helmet with a blue, charging bison, which they're returning to next season but haven't unveiled, came in 10th.
Fifth place went to the New York Jets from 1963, the only year they went with a plane silhouette encasing the word "JETS."
Pat the Patriot came in second to the 1960s San Diego Chargers.
