PFW associate editor Dan Parr selects an offensive, defensive and special-teams player of the game for the Bears following their win over the Buccaneers.
Offense: RB Matt Forté
He doesn't have the contract he wants, but Forté's value continues to grow each week. He rushed 25 times for 145 yards (5.8 avg.), including a 32-yard touchdown run in the first quarter against Tampa Bay. Forté also made two catches for 38 yards. He accounted for 46.3 percent of the Bears' total yardage.
Defense: CB D.J. Moore
The Bears, who had four interceptions heading into Week Seven, picked off Josh Freeman four times Sunday. Four different players had an interception for Chicago, but it was the one made by Moore that was most crucial. After building a 21-5 lead, the Bears allowed the Bucs to get back into the game. Tampa Bay had a chance to pull off a comeback late, but, with the Bucs driving into Bears' territory, Moore prevented a late collapse, picking off Freeman's third-down pass and sealing the win.
Special teams: P Adam Podlesh
Podlesh was very effective, skying punts and preventing Bucs returner Preston Parker from making a play. He punted six times and Chicago's coverage held Parker to three returns for only eight yards (2.7 avg.). Podlesh pinned Tampa Bay inside its 20-yard line twice and he had zero touchbacks.
