The high ankle sprain of RB Felix Jones comes at a time when the Cowboys already are struggling to run the football consistently or effectively at all. Jones will be replaced in the starting lineup by DeMarco Murray, as he and Tashard Choice appear to be the primary hopes for improvement on the ground in the next few weeks at least. But the loss of OLG Bill Nagy for the season further complicates the running concerns, even if Montrae Holland, his expected replacement, can step in and provide some push. The Cowboys should be able to run well, in theory, because of the coverages they often see, which are geared to slow down the passing attack. The offensive line certainly is to blame, but we hear that predictable formations, the lack of a quality fullback and some missed assignments along the rest of the offensive line also have been consistent factors in the lack of production there.
