Dolphins-Jets halftime notes

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Jets lead the Miami Dolphins, 14-6, at intermission.

Here are some halftime notes:
  • Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall wasn't ejected, and he's actually playing well. Marshall, who said last week that he was going to be a "beast" and get into a fight, caught four receptions for 85 yards in the first half. He nearly had a touchdown after a broken play but oddly stumbled out of bounds after gaining 46 yards.
  • Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis had the longest interception return of his career for 100 yards. There was a lot of contact between Revis and Marshall. But after the ball was thrown, Revis was there waiting and took it to the house. It was Revis' third interception return for a touchdown in his career.
  • Miami's offense is moving the ball well, but its struggles have come in the red zone. The Dolphins are 0-for-3 in red zone attempts in the first half. They had an interception and two field goals.
  • New York's offense didn't warm up until late in the second quarter. The Jets went three-and-out on its first four possessions. They didn't get a first down until the 5:50 mark of the second quarter. New York's offense accounted for seven points in the first half.
  • Miami's offensive line is doing a good job up front. Dolphins running back Reggie Bush already has eclipsed his season-best with 71 rushing yards in the first half. Rookie tailback Daniel Thomas also registered 25 rushing yards.
