Ravens vs. Browns Preview, Score and More

The Ravens (10-4) and the Browns (5-9) records tell one story on the surface: the Ravens are playoff bound and Cleveland is bound to stay at home. Games in December featuring teams with records such as these normally prove to be a meaningless contest for one while the other needs a victory for a number of reasons.

It's rare to witness squads with two opposite records who absolutely want to square off.

The Browns want this victory over Baltimore to build confidence toward next season, to be a spoiler and for the natives of Cleveland, due to the original Browns relocating to Charm City. The Ravens need this win in order to keep pace with the Steelers for the AFC North Division title, just in case Pittsburgh falters down the stretch. Despite defeating the Browns 24-17 on September 26, the proud Ravens' defense was embarrassed by surrendering 144 rushing yards and a touchdown to Peyton Hillis.

Still, Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is undefeated against the Browns with a 5-0 record.

Cleveland lost to the Cincinnati Bengals 19-17 in Week 15 primarily as a result of giving up 150 rushing yards and a touchdown to running back Cedric Benson. The Browns once again appear to have their hands full as they face Ravens running back Ray Rice, who racked up 233 total yards (153 rushing) and two touchdowns in Week 15 against the Saints.
