Kerry Collins almost certainly will start against Jacksonville Sunday, Jeff Fisher said Friday. The news isn't as good for Kenny Britt, although the Tennessee Titans wide receiver said his situation continues to improve.
Collins, the Titans' veteran quarterback who has missed the last two games with a calf injury, practiced for a third consecutive day Friday -- barring a setback during pregame warmups, he's expected to start Sunday, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reported.
"We are encouraged," Fisher said. "It is different getting ready to warm up for practice and getting ready to play a game, so we'll see how he is."
Rookie quarterback Rusty Smith made his first NFL start for Tennessee last week against Houston. The Titans placed starting quarterback Vince Young (thumb) on injured reserve earlier that week.
